UK Early Intervention Community: An update on a growing social movement delivering better life outcomes for young peopleWe have developed this resource for people working in health and social care, including those with a role to help improve Early Intervention services at CSIP and policy colleagues at the Health and Care Partnerships Directorate, Department of Health.
The resource aims to give people an overview of what the programme is about, why it is important, what it has achieved to date and how to get involved. Download it here (PDF 1.05 MB)
We developed this poster for the UK and international conferences on early psychosis 03-06 October 2006, ICC, Birmingham. Read more about the conference.

What has the EI voyage taught us?
Encourage others to see our EI flotilla:- not as a PROBLEM demanding ever more scarce resources
- but as an ANSWER by demonstrating better use of resources
And our most important discovery…
- EI is not about a destination wherever this may take us…
- …it’s about acquiring A NEW MINDSET which challenges ‘treatment as usual’ by seeing and developing different ways of doing things.
Involving people, particularly people who use services and carers, has been crucial in the success of the programme. This has helped to make sure that the programme is fit for purpose and focused on achieving its aims.
If you would like to get involved, we advise that, in addition to using this resource, you find someone who can help advise and support you. We have included a list of current EI contacts in CSIP.
We hope you find the resource helpful. It is part of a series of resources to share learning and promote innovative practice in EI services and participation in the growing EI social movement.
